So, the title of this piece is beautiful despair and the location in which it was taken was on lake Blvd. by the elementary school known as Madison. Well, I took this particular photo with my cell phone camera and the composition rule that I am using is framing because it’s a close up. The image is a color styled picture with the edits coming from the app known as snap seed. From this app I performed many edits such as a HDR, high saturation, and medium exposure. It is a color styled picture because it is mainly directed to show you the beautiful colors of a half-dead butterfly. This image was printed on Epson Glossy Photo Paper on the Epson P800 digital printer.
The reason why I chose the title “beautiful despair” was because we actually found this butterfly on the ground with its wing clipped almost and I thought we would try to make it fly. Sadly this did not work. In the process I just took the picture to document the last breaths in a glorifying tribute to his life as a form of appreciation for the art of the butterfly. This now deceased butterfly is to me just a reminder that no matter what, everything has to die and move on to the next life. We as humans must make the best of each and every moment that we have here on God’s green earth. This picture captures that very moment.

Composite Project
All I did was copy and pate her into the background using the quick selection tool. Also after that I Connect all her legs using the rotate tool. Then I used the saturation to make the colors pop.

Mandalas
A mandala is a ritual symbol. I made this by opening the template and using the magic wand tool and copying a section of an image and then rotate it. After that I fit and flipped it several times around the circle making it whole. My fav was the pic of my shirt because it looked like a bed sheet, just wavy! I struggled with getting them to all fit correctly. I would've done it with more colors if I could do it again.
Tesselations
Tessellation, to me means something that makes something else, be that a shape or anything. How I created it was quite simple actually once I got the hang of it. So, I cropped out a square of a pic in PS and after that I just changed the image size to whatever I put for the literal guide lines. So for the 4 by 4 I just put the size as "4." Then I Dragged the pic to the otherPS tab I had open with guide lines and I put it in till the blue line showed. After that, I made a duplicate layer and moved it to the square next to it, then I flipped it horizontal and merged those layers. Lastly, I copied that layer and then moved it to the squares below. Finally, I then flipped the layer vertically and merged them. I liked how you could turn something completely lame into something cool. My fav pic was the green leaf close-up. I struggled with adapting to editing like this at first. I would crop the pics better if I could because I was just rushing at first.

Food Photography
Me and my partner leticia brought tamales and the props that we used were a table cloth, plates, reflector, and utensils to make it look authentic.
Name Project
Well I just opened a template for the name project in the photoshop. The steps that were hard were the steps that included finding a different letter for each picture individually. Also, I was really proud of how I found the letters and fit them in, feels good to do something correctly and efficiently for once. I like how cohesive it is with the rest of my artwork. It really fits! I think I could have improved on the letter "A".

Truly fascinating. Anyhow in the midst of this deadly battle, he saw in the rubble the angel nakiya tending to a dog. She was an angel of distress, which meant by her standing next to the poor dog, super santa knew the dog was in pain. So, knowing this he swept down from the highest peak in the sky to tend to the dog but as soon as he got there he noticed something very problematic... He was all out of energy to heal the poor pup. Upon this astonishing surprise super santa who knows all went to a place called the "Big Red". Which was a place that if you took someone even near it, that they would be instantly healed. So I guessed you could say he had a speedy recovery! Then, after that super santa flew the newly rejuvenated dog into a patch of freshly green grass. Finally he took his signature fresh pose with the dog and flew away as he posed for the vigorous women that wanted him. After this he would resume his battle with the notorious KingFresh! The battle raged on for centuries. Find out what happened next in the next chapter of Super Santa!! Oh yeah and you'd better put some respect on his name because remember Santa knows all.

Daguerrotype
Invented in the 1820's by Louis Jacques Mande Daguerre.
The process of making a daguerrotype starts with a silver-plated copper plate. That plate is first buffed and polished until it looks like a mirror. Then the plate is sensitized to light over iodine and bromine in specialized, light-proof boxes.

This picture respresents the two sides of my inner being. One of them is the one I grew up to be; kingfresh and the other is my birth name, jaleel. I call this picture, 2 sides of the same coin. Ideally, it means that there are two sides of me. One is good, one is not. One is fresh, one is not. Just like the very essence of every human being. Waiting to be understood, waiting to be related to. I believe that is my purpose here on this earth.
